Inspired by vintage remake culture, the design incorporates the spontaneity and individuality of traditional hand-reworked garments.
The front and back yokes are pieced together using four irregularly arranged fabric colors, creating layered tonal variations that mimic the natural traces of long-term wear and repair.
The pieced areas combine multiple hand-embroidery techniques, including running stitch, random stitch, rice stitch, and traditional sashiko, along with patch appliqué and free-form embroidery to recreate the handcrafted character of vintage remake pieces.
The finished garment undergoes an enzyme wash, creating subtle color fading while bringing out the fabric’s natural horizontal slub texture for a softer, more authentic vintage appearance.
The neckline and cuffs are finished with high-density ribbing for added structure and shape retention.
